thing of wonder.
The MagBeam’s collapsible design isn’t just for portability. Collapse it down all the way, swap in a Wide Lens, add a MagMask, and now you’ve transformed it into a pattern-projecting-thing-of-wonder. Mind. Blown.
MagMasks are our custom-made stainless steel 'gobos' that create patterns to project through the MagBeam anywhere you want. Sweet huh?

Frequently Asked Questions
What are MagMasks?
MagMasks are thin sheets of stainless steel and they’re used to create different patterns of light.
The MagMasks share the same geometric shape and fit into the integrated gel slot at the base of the MagBeam.
The MagMasks will only work with the MagBeam, and only with the MagBeam’s integrated gel slot.
Trying to use MagMasks in any other way, will leave you scratching your head in confusion.
What's the difference between the "MagBeam Kit" and the "MagBeam Wildlife Kit"
The MagBeam Kit includes:
1x MagBeam Tele Lens
1x MagBeam Wide Lens
1x MagMask Standard Set
The MagBeam Kit does not include the MagGrip. The Tele Lens can be used for portrait or wildlife photography, and the MagMasks must be used with the Wide Lens to project the different patterns on each MagMask.
The MagBeam Wildlife Kit includes:
1x MagBeam Tele Lens
The MagBeam Wildlife Kit includes everything you need to get started to use the MagBeam for wildlife photography.
Can I use the Wide Angle Lens for Wildlife Photography?
In a word, “No.”
The Wide Angle lens is specifically designed to work with the MagBeam fully collapsed, and in conjunction with the MagMasks.
The main function of the Wide Angle Lens is to manipulate the light from your flash to properly project different patterns of light depending on which MagMask is installed in the MagBeam.
Using the Wide Angle Lens for Wildlife Photography is not recommended.
I love your products but i have yet to use the magmask product but i love the Mag Sphere i use it all the time.
The magmod system, as an amateur photographer is a whole heap of fun. The ability to create amazing compositions with my speed light (that really was just collecting dust) has encouraged me to get my camera gear out Of the bag and take photos again!
The pattern cards are a whole heap of fun and now fight with my kids to use it….. looks like an additional kit is required!
Best purchase of the year!
