these are amazing, great color selection, you can stack them and create new color combinations. also they can fall and dont get any scratch, great for using with big bulb lights like the godox strobes. They are also compatible with the Magbox Family.

Nice!
Pricey but great! They feel durable and good in the hand.
Wish there was a slightly better way to put it in the reflector. Something that helps you confirm that it sits right in place. Also, first time taking each out from the stack is very painful.

Above Average but Not Really User Friendly
Yes. -these are good, and they interact with MagMod's ecosystem so from that standpoint, they are 5 stars. But they are tricky to use when stacked and new - and I truly am shocked with the customer service response of 'yeah - sorry, they are like that - it will get better as you use them'. Ok..so I have to suffer at first - there are really hard to separate and to use and to 'unstack'..it's a poor use case for them and really makes these less than 5 stars. Again - not advocating you don't buy them. If you are deep in the MagMod ecosystem, these are invaluable - but they could be much much better - this is a lazy product offering and just reflecting that..see what I did there...could be better.

You’re definitely not wrong about them being harder to separate when they’re brand new. What’s happening is that you’ve basically got very smooth plastic surfaces pressed against each other, which creates a lot more friction at first. After a few uses, those surfaces naturally lose a bit of that “fresh out of the box” glossiness, and they start separating much more easily. For most people, that break-in period is pretty short, but we completely understand that it can feel frustrating in the meantime.
And honestly, we get your point — “they’ll get easier with use” isn’t the most exciting answer when you’re trying to work fast and efficiently on a shoot. That feedback is fair, and it’s something we’ll absolutely pass along to our product team as we continue refining the experience.
We really do appreciate you sticking with the MagMod ecosystem and taking the time to leave detailed feedback. Even when it’s critical, reviews like this genuinely help us improve.
