The MagRing 2 is a magnetic speedring that makes attaching larger modifiers like the MagBox to smaller hot-shoe flashes super simple. With a MagGrip* on your flash, attaching a speedlight to the MagRing 2 takes literally 1 second. Newly optimized for round-head flashes, the MagRing 2 can quickly adapt to either (1) round-head flash or (2) standard speedlites so you can work quickly and confidently.

But with MagMod it’s true!
The MagMod modifier system works because of the universal design of the MagGrip 2. The MagGrip 2 is a patented design made of high-quality silicone rubber which makes it easy to stretch and fit onto almost any hot-shoe flash. In addition, the MagGrip 2 contains two rare earth magnets used to attach the MagMod line of flash modifiers including the MagGrid 2, the MagSphere 2, the MagBounce 2, and more!
There’s only one MagGrip design, so you don’t have to worry about getting different sizes for different flashes. While we haven't tested the MagGrip 2 with every flash on the market, we are confident that the MagGrip will work with most flashes that have a rectangular flash head and round head flashes.
The original MagRing’s unique single or dual-mount speedlite approach is one of a kind, but the new MagRing 2 is now happy to let the round-head flashes join the wicked-fast speedlite-mounting party.
The quick detachable center-wall makes it easy to switch between a traditional speedlite flash or a round-head flash in seconds. MagMod’s design ethos of universal flash compatibility is like having your cake, and eating it, too.
Just pop in a speedlight—now optimized for round head flashes—shut the door, and get back to shooting. The MagRing 2 makes it easy to go from on-camera to off--faster than you can read this sentence.

Love how versatile this is. It's great if I want to use one of my soft boxes with my V100, or add two AD200s together. Just know that you can't fit two V100s due to their circular size.

Version 2 even better!
I've been using the original MagRing for years, and the version 2 is a great improvement. Allowing you to remove the center bar and utilize a round head flash was a fantastic move.
