The Beauty Dish XL 20 was designed with unique light shaping in mind—giving you incredible light shaping qualities for headshots, beauty, and fashion portraits. Not only is the collapsible design more durable than other similar modifiers, but it also manages to be more compact and durable to boot. Talk about versatility! Compatible with the MagMod XL Dome Gels, controlling color with precision is a breeze. Yes! The Beauty Dish XL 20 can accept the same Dome Gels that the Reflector XL and MagBox Pro’s use! You can even stack multiple gels together to achieve your desired effect!
Can I use the Beauty Dish XL 20 with video lights?
Simply put, yes, but, the Dome Gels will not handle the heat that most video lights put out and are not recommended for use.
Will the Beauty Dish XL 20 work with speedlights?
Yes! You will need an S-Bracket style mount that accepts a standard Bowens mount.
What strobes & lights are compatible with the Beauty DIsh XL 20?
The Beauty Dish XL 20 comes standard with the same MagMod XL Bowens Mount that the Reflector XL system uses making it compatible with any strobe light or adapter that takes the widely use Bowns mount. A Godox and Profoto mounts are sold separately.

Solid, although pricey
Great build quality, case is great and the bands that hold the center piece is ingenious. I would have liked if the mount was compatible with the Magbox speedrings, but still, great quality. Price is also of concern, as it's not a cheap bundle and with anything with magnets, has some heft.
But being compatible with the gels and fast and simple setup, for me and my team it's a worthwhile investment.
