The MagMod modifier system works because of the universal design of the MagGrip 2. The MagGrip 2 is a patented design made of high-quality silicone rubber which makes it easy to stretch and fit onto almost any hot-shoe flash. In addition, the MagGrip 2 contains two rare earth magnets used to attach the MagMod line of flash modifiers including the MagGrid 2, the MagSphere 2, the MagBounce 2, and more!
There’s only one MagGrip design, so you don’t have to worry about getting different sizes for different flashes. While we haven't tested the MagGrip 2 with every flash on the market, we are confident that the MagGrip will work with most flashes that have a rectangular flash head and round head flashes.

Will the MagBounce 2 work with the original MagGrip?
While all MagMod 2 products are compatible with the previous MagMod system, you will have the best possible experience when using each modifier alongside other modifiers of the same version.
What is the difference between the MagBounce 2 and the MagSphere 2?
The MagBounce acts like a soft box for your flash by delivering soft light with wide flash coverage. It increases the apparent size of your flash by 300%, and its white silicone texture diffuses light without significantly decreasing output. Another cool thing about the MagBounce is that it gives you the flexibility to shoot in both landscape and portrait orientations. You get 360 degrees of rotation in 4 different configurations.
Do I need a MagGrip 2 to use the MagBounce?
Yes, you will need the MagGrip to attach any MagMod Modifier onto your flash. It is the "adapter" piece that is the base of our system. It has two super strong rare earth magnets embedded in it so that all of the other MagMod Modifiers (also with embedded magnets) attach to it quickly, quietly, and securely.
I love this is for my events. Yes, it's a little large, you're not going to hide with it, but if you want beautiful on camera portraits for events, this is it. The Mag system all around is great, never falls off, but is easy enough to remove in a second. I just need a little carrying bag for it because dog hair loves to stick to it.

Small but powerful
MagBounce2 changed the way I photograph wedding day family formals! Instead of using an umbrealla that was always tricky because of wind, I used two MagBounce 2 with Godox 580 flashes on tripods for this picture, and I was amazed by the result! My go-to product for shoots like this from now on!

Nearly Perfect
Great product! A bit different from V.1 in that the bottom has more of a round fit to accommodate the round-headed flashes. Using it with regular ones means that it has some opening, but this doesn't seem to affect the function.

My Magbounce 2
I was very pleased with the Magbounce 2. I used it recently for a family wedding and it provided excellent soft lighting for on camera flash. Helped to spread the light around for group pictures and provided nice soft lighting for portraits

Fantastic, soft light on flash!
Used this at a local comic con this past weekend, very happy with the soft, gorgeous light this projected without many harsh highlights. I left my flash on body using this and I didn't see any lens shadow from holding my camera in the portrait position. Very happy!
Took up almost no room in my bag, was able to compact it down and it bounced back good as new.
