Opening the rectangular softbox was a challenge as it would not center. It is easy to pinch your fingers while trying to open it. My fingers bled from getting them caught between the somewhat sharp plastic pieces. Closing them when not on the light stand is a pain because there is nothing to grip at the base when trying to pull off the center piece that holds the rods. Maybe it is supposed to be pulled apart while attached to the stand, but there were no instructions on it. To add to my disappointment and struggle, the stacked gels were nearly impossible to separate even with gloves on. I had to pry one set apart with a flathead screwdriver. I couldn't separate the other 3 sets I had until I came up with my own solution by putting the stack of gels in warm water and some dishwashing soap. With still some difficulty, prying it off from there worked. I suggest that MagMod put something to separate the individual gels like a piece of paper or plastic wrap so they don't stick together. I've seen someone on YouTube that once they are used for a while, they won't stick like the new ones. I was going to return the whole bundle but decided to wait until I used them this weekend to if I'm going to struggle with them again.
