What is the height of the Beauty Dish XL 20 when collapsed?
The Beauty Dish XL 20 measures 3.55 inches (9.1 cm) tall when fully collapsed with the Bowens mount installed.
What strobes & lights are compatible with the Beauty DIsh XL 20?
The Beauty Dish XL 20 comes standard with the same MagMod XL Bowens Mount that the Reflector XL system uses making it compatible with any strobe light or adapter that takes the widely use Bowns mount. A Godox and Profoto mounts are sold separately.

Will the Beauty Dish XL 20 work with speedlights?
Yes! You will need an S-Bracket style mount that accepts a standard Bowens mount.
Can I use the Beauty Dish XL 20 with video lights?
Simply put, yes, but, the Dome Gels will not handle the heat that most video lights put out and are not recommended for use.
Is the Beauty Dish XL 20 gelable?
Yes! The Beauty Dish XL 20 can accept the same Dome Gels that the Reflector XL and MagBox Pro’s use! You can even stack multiple gels together to achieve your desired effect!
The beauty dish fits great into the MagMod lineup. It is quick to set up and easy to use, thus increasing the time you spend with your subjects, instead of messing with equipment. Durability is incredibly important to me. The world is my studio, so I need equipment that can take a beating, and not need replaced every time it takes a bump. The Beauty dish combined rigidity and silicone beautifully to help it collapse and be absorbent to falls/drops.

I really love how this beauty dish is collapsible and easy to take on location. It gives my headshots/portraits a punchy, contrasty look that's completely different from other lighting setups.
MagMod has completely transformed the way I approach lighting in my photography, and I can't imagine going back to shooting without it. The new MagMod Beauty Dish is sturdy, the setup was a breeze and delivers consistent, high-quality results. It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to transport which is a huge bonus. My favorite part is that is compatible with the MagMod dome gels making it super versatile for different creative looks.

Game changer!
The beauty dish has always been one of my favorite light modifiers, but I typically only used it in the studio due to its bulk. Now, with the new Magmod Beauty Dish and its collapsible design, it’s easy to bring on location shoots. I love the magnetic grid, which is much more durable than traditional ones, and the built-in gel holder is a huge plus for quickly adding gels.
